Mystikal and Lloyd join forces for Comeback

Ten years ago, Mystikal was just beginning to hit his stride. The rapper had been a member of the No Limit crew. In his time with No Limit, Mystikal had a few minor hits. But, when he decided to leave No Limit, he really became a big star.

In 2000, Mystikal released his highly-successful album, Let's Get Ready. The album featured two hits, "Shake Ya Ass" and "Danger (Been So Long)." For a small amount of time, Mystikal was one of the most-popular rappers in the game.

The next year, Mystikal released the follow-up, Tarantula. Much like his previous album, it was highly successful and it featured his hit, "Bouncin' Back (Bumpin Me Against The Wall)." Mystikal had plans of releasing another album in 2002.

However, right as he began recording, Mystikal was brought up on criminal charges. These charges resulted in the rapper going to prison. Late last year, after six years in prison, Mystikal was released and he is determined to stage a comeback. When Mystikal recorded his latest single, "Set Me Free," with fellow native of New Orleans, Lloyd, he brought himself one step closer to landing this comeback. When speaking of the music video, Mystikal said the video will make all of New Orleans happy.

Mystikal said the stars are aligning in 2010 and he is going to make this year bigger than what 2000 was for him. He described "Set Me Free" are more than a song, but rather the reality of his life and the lives of many other people he knows.
