In the hip hop industry, most listeners know Cam'ron for his hits in the summer of 2002. Relatively unknown outside of New York, he blew up when he released Come Home With Me on Jay-Z's record label, Roc-A-Fella Records.

However, Cam'ron was already two albums deep when he agreed to join the Roc. Even before he emerged in the game, Cam'ron was making hits. A year before he debuted with his own music, his hit was on the radio.

Yesterday, Cam'ron revealed he wrote Lil' Cease's verses on the 1997 Lil' Kim hit, "Crush on You." The song was supposed to be written by Mase, but he paid Cam $5,000 for the song. Initially, the "Crush on You" song was Lil' Cease's solo single until it was given to Lil' Kim.

Cam'ron said he was paid the $5,000 upfront and he did not receive any royalties for the song.
